last of the honey
Two last two honey supers off today. The #2 hive had some very full frames. #1 hive a little weaker. Probably 60 lbs of honey, not as nice as the summer stuff. Both hives have two full brood chambers that seem to have a reasonable amount of honey in them. Good luck guys!

winter wheat planted
Winter wheat planted today. 6 lbs broadcast and worked in with disc. Several days of rain forecast this week.

3rd super for the season
We took another medium super of honey off of the #2 colony yesterday. A few frames were only 1/2 capped--probably should have left it on another week. Cross fingers the honey will be OK. This makes 2 mediums off of the #2 colony and one shallow off of the #1 colony so far. Bees are tremendously busy but I'm wondering if the honey flow is slowing down.
